The Textile Conservation Centre at Southampton University has been serving the needs of heritage for over three decades. Teaching, researching, publishing and treating. By some estimates, over half of the world's qualified textile conservators received some form of training and guidance from the Centre.Email these two people and express your concern and your outrage as an emerging professional, that this world resource is being ended.

Is there a new update on this? I was under the impression the closure had already been passed?
I think you're right Dan. It's my understanding that the closure had passed (anyone else have other updates on this?)... but while sending emails protesting this might not prevent the Textile Conservation Centre from closing it can send a message about how important a resource it was and hopefully help protect other conservation institutions.
