Welcome to the Blog!

The Emerging Leaders Network within AIC now has a presence on the web in the form of a blog! Though still a work in progress, the blog is up and running and available for you to begin communicating with one another in a public forum.

If you would like to post to the blog, e-mail the body of your text to me at rwinfield@aic-faic.org with the word “blog” on the subject line.

In the mean time, if you have any questions about the Emerging Leaders Network or your membership in AIC, please let me know by using the contact info to the right and below.

Ok I really don't know how to blog so this is my first try. This is a great Idea. Hi I am Julie and I am a pre program paintings intern looking for advice on moving on from where I am but I don not know where I am heading yet. I would like to get in contact with people out there in the fields of photographic and objects conservation. At the moment I am also a Volunteer with a small museum of history and art helping with preventive conservation in their archives.

Hi Julie,

You should send your comment into ryan and get it posted as a thread and I think you'll get more reponses.

In the meantime, I would advise you to go to the AIC website, where they have an excellent downloadable pamphlet on "Training in Conservation" programs in the US including Buffalo State College, U of Delaware, NYU, texas a&m, ucla/getty. That should get you started!

Nice work creating this blog. It will be interesting to see how it develops.

I've been interested in blogs about conservation for a little while now.

I recently made a post on the blog that I write for the IMA about other blogs that I found.

My effort was to begin identifying the blogs that are out there. I think it would be useful to have a list of blogs. I've asked folks to add a comment on my post if they know of blogs that I didn't mention. So far, I haven't got any comments ...

I also made a post about on-line videos about conservation that I found. I wonder if you all are interested in that, too.
