The problem with using words like "skinned" is it can mean different things to different people, even amongst conservators. I always try to use plain English, not conservation-speak, especially for surveys. Those will be most often read by non-practitioners so the easier to understand the better.Beth Doylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08085009287620540623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402822483309261908.post-39464465294132175312009-10-05T08:04:08.014-07:002009-10-05T08:04:08.014-07:00And to add a glossary to the list, I use Etheringt...And to add a glossary to the list, I use Etherington and Roberts
Bookbinding and the Conservation of Books: a Dictionary of Descriptive Terminology.

http://cool.conservation-us.org/don/don.htmlKatie Mullenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07839719035073966920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402822483309261908.post-40546662045098953542009-09-23T20:53:52.252-07:002009-09-23T20:53:52.252-07:00Of course someone has analyzed silly putty!
